PLX (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a classified-ads platform (website, mobile app, related services). We act as the “data controller” for the information we collect via PLX.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

• Registration details (e.g. name, email, phone number)
• If you sign up via third-party services (e.g. Google, Facebook), we may collect the name, email, profile picture, or other data you authorize.
• Listings you post: descriptions, photos, prices, location.
• Communications you send via our platform (e.g. chat messages).
• Payment information (if using paid services), subject to encryption and secure handling.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

• Device and technical data (e.g. device model, OS, identifiers, browser)
• Log data (IP addresses, timestamps, pages visited)
• Clickstream / usage data: searches, items clicked, duration of sessions
• Location data (if you permit) via IP, GPS, WiFi, etc.

2.3 Data from Third Parties / Public Sources
We may receive information about you from third parties (e.g. analytics providers, advertising partners) or public sources and combine it with our data.

3. Children & Age Limits

Our platform is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that we have collected data of a user under 16, we will promptly delete it.

4. Why and How We Use Your Data

We use personal data for purposes including:

• To provide and operate PLX (e.g. supporting your account, enabling search, posting listings)
• To verify user identity, prevent fraud and abuse
• To send transactional messages (e.g. order confirmations, listing expirations)
• To personalize your experience, show relevant listings, recommendations

• For marketing (only where you give consent / until you opt out)

We rely on legal bases such as contract performance, legitimate interests, and your consent (as applicable).

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, local storage, and similar tools to:

• Maintain user sessions (login)

• Within our affiliated companies (for operations, maintenance)
• Advertising & analytics partners (in anonymized / aggregated forms, or as permitted)
• Authorities / legal requests: Courts, law enforcement, regulators, to comply with law or protect safety
• Business transfers: In case of sale, merger, acquisition of PLX or its assets

7. Data Location & Retention

Your data may be stored and processed in Pakistan or in other jurisdictions.

We will retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, including satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. After that, we securely delete or anonymize the data.

8. Security

We implement industry-appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. However, no system is perfectly secure, so you should also protect your credentials.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you are, you may have rights such as:

• Accessing a copy of your personal data
• Correcting / updating data
• Deleting or requesting erasure of data
• Restricting or objecting to processing
• Withdrawing consent (where processing is based on consent)
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

If you are in Pakistan, these rights may be subject to prevailing local law.

10. Communications & Marketing

We may send you promotional messages (via email, SMS, in-app). You can opt out of marketing communications at any time (via link in email or in your settings).

Transaction-related communications (e.g. registration, listing status) are necessary for the service and you cannot opt out of those.

11. Links to Third-Party Sites

PLX may link to external websites / services which have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for those practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will publish the revised version here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will try to notify you (e.g. via email or in-app).

Your continued use of PLX after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
